Factory Road - Blakes Road Extension

The Christchurch City Council have advised "A combined land use / subdivision application is currently being processed by Council that is consistent with the roading network as set out in the Overall District Plan."

This could mean that within the next few years Blakes Road could be extended to facilitate the industrial traffic and divert it away from the well-established residential areas potentially reducing the traffic volume from over 2,000 movements per day to closer to 600 per day - fingers crossed.

It's progress as we see it and moving in the right direction for the residents of Belfast.
